Netflix Style Story
An anniversary, for a partner.Their own streaming service, one series on it.
4.9(357)Eleven screens, and not one of them needs you to be useful.
A played birthday page for the person who runs everybody else’s. It opens with a banner going past, gets loud, hands over a magazine cover, four cards with the honest version on the back, a wall of notes stuck up where they cannot be ignored, three wishes to choose between, and a sealed letter at the end. Tapped through on the night, one screen at a time.
Not sure what to write? How to make one for your boyfriend
What’s inside
Each one is optional — switch off anything that is not your story and it disappears from the page entirely.
A banner goes past before anything else happens.
Ambient rather than a game. Short lines drift past.
They cut it themselves. The wish is what waits inside.
Cover lines are short and slightly absurd. That is the joke.
A short line on the front, the honest version on the back.
Short notes, scattered. Keep each one to a sentence.
They pick one and the others fade. Choosing is the point.
Sealed until they open it, then it takes the whole screen.
What you get
Your page starts finished. You replace our words with yours rather than facing a blank box.
Unguessable, never indexed, and printable onto a card so there is something to hand over.
Lock it, or schedule it so it only opens at the exact moment you want it to.
Fix a typo after they have opened it. Changes go live on the same link.
Music chosen for the page plays as they read. Pick another from the library, or switch it off.
One payment, no renewal. The page stays exactly where you left it.
Palettes
Or set your own colours, type and scene order — included with every page.
Reviews
The flip cards with the honest version on the back are the reason this works. She read the fronts out loud and went quiet on the backs.
Set it to unlock at midnight. He was awake, obviously, and rang me at 12:04.
Lots of scenes. I switched three off and it was still plenty.
